So you have been working out non stop trying to get your body ready for the summer and all the holidays that will soon be here. Nonetheless, you are slowly becoming discouraged because your belly fat has not budged one bit. Although, you have lost the weight you still cannot see your abs. This happens to almost all of us. We workout non stop and then become discouraged when we don’t see a 6 pack as soon as we would like.

The secret to having a toned stomach with visible abs is working on them slowly over time. If you start working out vigorously and never give your muscles a break, you can be causing more harm to your body than any benefits. For this reason we recommend these including these workouts into your routine 2-3 times a week to obtain the best results.

8.Crunches on Exercise Ball

Using an exercise ball is always a good idea when you want to achieve an intense workout that will also put less strain on your back. Crunches are a very good workout option when you want to tone your upper abs. It will help tone while eliminating fat.

Do 25 reps 3 times to get the most benefits out of this exercise. Do not forget to hold your stomach in while doing these reps to help with the intensity of your workout.

7.Elbow Plank

By now, we have all heard of the benefits of planking. Planking is among the best total body workouts as it targets every muscle in your body especially your abdominal muscles. When you plank you are contracting your entire abdominal muscle region in order to maintain your plank.

To upgrade your plank and give it a more intensified effect on your abs you want to try an elbow plank.Instead of planking on your hands hold a plank of 60 seconds per rep on your elbows. Do this exercise 5 times per rep.

6.Bicycle Crunches

This is considered one of the most effective obliques exercise if not the most effective one of them all. The reason behind this is it targets your entire oblique area giving you the ultimate ab exercise without the need of regular crunches.

It also causes your side obliques to contract all at the same time.  The simple motion of pedaling can give you the abs you’ve always dreamed of doing. Do 10-20 reps 2-3 times to get the best benefits.

5.Seated Russian Twist

Russian twists are the best exercise for love handles. If you have love handles you know how difficult it is  to get rid of them. The reason behind this is many workouts do not target your side obliques only your upper abdominal area and your middle obliques.

The Russian twist will take care of toning and trimming your side obliques. Do 20 full twists from side to side 2-3 times.

4.Plank Crawl Out

This is among my personal favorite exercises as it gets the job done effectively. A plank crawl out targets your lower abdominal area to allow you to get rid of what’s commonly known as a “pooch”.

Your lower abdominal area is extremely hard to tone as most workouts do not target that area. This exercise will target that area and tone it all at the same time. Do 20 reps 2-3 times to feel the burn.

3.Resistance Band Bent Over Row

Resistance bands are an excellent addition to your workout routine because they truly allow you to workout anywhere. There is no heavy machines or dumbbells for you to carry round just a simple band that allows you to moderate the intensity that you would like it to be.

When you do this exercise, you will be focusing on your core and strengthening it all at the same time. You will be capable of adjusting the intensity according to abilities and your routine. Do 15 reps 5 times 3-4 times a week.

2.Dumbbell Squats

Squats have traditionally been known as the perfect exercise for enhancing and maintaining your glutes. However, when done properly with dumbbells it can also be great for your obliques and core. Doing squats with dumbbells you want to make sure your posture is correct.

The reason behind this is if your posture is off you can actually cause you back pain instead of getting the proper benefits. Do 10 reps 3 times and you will feel the burn almost immediately.

1.Planking Frog Tucks

The planking frog tuck will target your core, obliques and side obliques giving you a total ab workout in a matter of a few steps. You will also be working on your thigh and glutes all at the same time. This move can give your body a total workout when it is done properly.

You can to do this move combined with a couple other ab workouts to get the best results. Do 20 reps 2 times in between other ab targeted exercises. When you are working out your abs you need to remember to include cardio into your routine.

When you include cardio you will be able to lose weight all over your body not only in your stomach. It is pretty much impossible to lose weight in only one specific area of your body. To give your body a more toned appearance you want to include cardio as well as ab workouts. This will offer you the best results over all.
